This guide of teacher-recommended Web sites is a great way to teach your students more about the books offered on Trumpet each month.

Web Guide on Writing

One of your students just might be a best-selling author! Trumpet is proud to announce our tenth YOUNG AUTHORS OF AMERICA CONTEST! Up to 25 winning stories will be chosen and published in a real book, Young Authors of America, Volume 10, to be featured in next year's Trumpet Intermediate Years catalog.

Real authors write not for a teacher or a grade, but in the hopes of publishing their work and having it read by a large audience. Writing contests and publishing opportunities are a fabulous way to invite your students to experience the real world of writing with deadlines, competition, and a concern for excellence.
